Assessment and preparation

Your team reviews circulation, infection, the wound and overall health, and discusses the procedure and alternatives.

Surgery and initial recovery

The surgeon prepares the bone segment and applies the device. Initial wound care and monitoring follow the individual plan.

Controlled distraction

Gradual outward transport follows the schedule prescribed by the treating team. Do not use information on this site as an adjustment instruction.

Return transport and compression

The team supervises the return or compression phase under the chosen protocol. Follow-up visits are used to review the device, pin sites and wound.

Device removal

In the reference TTT protocol supplied by Response Ortho®, removal is planned two weeks after compression is completed. Your treating team confirms the timing through clinical assessment. This timetable is not automatically a protocol for FTT.

Ongoing foot care

Wound follow-up and diabetes-related foot care continue after device removal. Device removal and complete ulcer healing are separate milestones.
